A useful transcript makes a recording easier to work with. You can find a decision without replaying an entire meeting, turn an interview into a draft, or prepare subtitles for a video. VoiceGo brings the recording and its text into one workspace so you can check what was said before using it elsewhere.
Start with a file, a link, or your microphone
Open your workspace and choose Transcribe Files. Browse for an audio or video file, or drag it into the upload area. Common formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, and MP4. For a supported public media URL, use the link import option. Private, restricted, or unavailable links may not import; upload a file you are authorized to use instead.
You can also choose Record, allow microphone access, and capture a new recording in your browser. Check your microphone and keep the page open while recording. Review the selected file before pressing Transcribe: adding media prepares the upload, while submitting starts the transcription.
Choose settings for the recording
Set Audio Language to the spoken language when you know it. Choose Zip for faster processing or Proof for the more detailed model. Under additional settings, enable speaker recognition for conversations, English translation for an English result, or background noise reduction when the original needs it. Read our transcription settings guide for the tradeoffs.
Listen, correct, and export
Submit the file and follow its status in the dashboard. When it is ready, open it and use timestamps to jump to the corresponding audio. Edit names, technical terms, and unclear passages before sharing. AI transcription can make mistakes, especially with overlapping voices or distant microphones.
Download TXT for plain text, DOCX for editing in a word processor, PDF for a readable document, or SRT for subtitles. Advanced Export provides further format and timestamp options. Our export guide explains how to organize multiple recordings.

The free plan accepts three transcriptions per UTC day and processes up to the first 30 minutes of each file. Guest workspaces are temporary: sign up or log in within 24 hours to keep your transcripts. Start with a short, clear recording, check the result, and then decide whether the paid plan fits your workload.
